greatgreyne

My name is Greyne Anosike.I am from the Igbo ethnic group of the eastern state of Nigeria called IMO . I hold an Honours degree in Humanities of the IMO State University. I was also very fortunate to have been elected the President of the University Students Union government at the age of 20.

In 1986, I was adjudged the best youth corp member in Ngeria and was given a National Honour's Award by the then President Ibrahim Babangida and was consequently offered automatic employment into the Nigerian Federal Civil Service and was deployed to the federal Ministry of Information, where have risen to the rank of Chief Information Officer on Grade level 14 and in 2006 was appointed the editor of the Nigerian Government webportal-www.nigeria.gov.ng..
I am married to Goodness Chinyere who God created in 1975.With her, we have two wonderfully looking children- Hansell, who is a boy is 9 and Ozora- a girl who is a girl
They are currently in Abuja the great capital of Nigeria, the Heart of Africa.
Goodness is an undergraduate of the University of Abuja where she is studying Public Administration. She is in her 4th year.
My life ambition is to recreate the history of Nigeria and provide an appropriate platform to restore the dignity of the people of igbo origin in the social stratum of Nigeria.
The humiliating treatment the igbos receive in Nigeria is traceable to the civil war that began precisely 40 years ago when yours sincerely was about 7 years. I can still recollect some of my bitter memories of the war.......
How I was forced to trek some 30 kilometers in search of grasshoppers - the main and only source of protein available to the igbo children. Even at that age, I still recollect how an arab pilot of a jet ,came down so low and released hot lead at me. The God of igbos did not allow that as the hot bullets only shattered my slate board by the side of my head.We just finished classes under a mango treeat umungwa, Obowu....
Still remember how I lost four maternal uncles and four bright cousins- all were reading professional courses in he University of Nigeria,Nsukka in 1965 prior to the outbreak of the war.
For daring to protect themselves against a possible annihilation or pogrom, the igbos
are paying extraordinary price..
Despite the miserable "No victor, No vanquished" stance of the Gowon Administration, all senior military men of igbo origin are still retired before they reached the rank of Lt. General and none is allowed to become a General officer Commanding... This affects all the armed forces and the police. The recent humiliation of Ogbonnaya Onovo- of the main igbo extraction who ,asmost Snr. Police is a case in point.
Unless this anomaly is addressed and the igbos provided a national platform to reintegrate into the mainstream, the so- called unity of Nigeria will be a mirage.
the distrust, alck of progress, waste and technological backwardness will continue to remain with us as a nation.
this site will be updated from time to time bear with me

Thats Greatgreyne for you. Dalu nwokem
